When water damages surprises you

A recent customer of ours came home to find water damage in his house after he had been away on business. There was water damage in his garage, the entire main level of his home, as well as parts of the basement. The source of the water damage was a broken water line, and the water was likely sitting for a while before the customer came home and found it. On our first day on the job, our expertly trained technicians took out all affected flooring, as well as removed the bathroom wall panels. We also removed the drywall, insulation, and set up 14 air movers and 3 dehumidifiers to dry out the structure. Throughout the next few visits, one of our project managers monitored the home to see how everything was drying. Once the drywall and flooring were no longer wet, we treated them with an antimicrobial to discourage mold growth and sanitize the structure! We are proud to say that the homeowner was happy with our work, and we were able to restore a large chunk of the damage that otherwise would’ve needed replacing.
